Scott Whitehurst — Partner

Scott is the co-head of acting at New York's New School for Drama.  He also teaches shakespeare and scene study at New School.  Scott has worked Off Broadway: Into the Hazard [Henry 5], Incommunicado with Tom Aldredge, Jeffrey, Black Eagles, Waiting for Lefty with Marisa Tomei, and 10 productions at The Pearl Theatre Company. in regional theatre: Arena Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre (DC), Cincinnati Playhouse, Pioneer Theatre, Crossroads Theatre, Rep of St. Louis, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Indiana Rep, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Contemporary American Theater Festival, and 11 productions at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; on Television: “Elementary”, “The Good Wife”, “Law & Order”, “One Life To Live”, “6 Degrees”, and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and in Film: “Because of You”, “The Kitchen”, and “Simple Justice”. 

He has an extensive background in Classical theatre and has appeared in over 40 productions of Aeschylus, Euripides, Ford, Goldsmith, Ibsen, Lessing, Marivaux, Moliere, and Shakespeare.  

Scott has coached professional actors for over 12 years. His clients work on Broadway (including 1 Tony winner), Off-Broadway, Television, and in Regional Theatres and National Tours around the country. He has taught at Ramapo College and Essex County College in New Jersey.  He is currently on the teaching staff at the New School of Drama in New York.

A Washington DC native, Scott is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University (BA) and Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University (MFA) where he studied with Master Acting Teachers Maggie Flanigan and William Esper. He is a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.

 

Angela Robinson-Whitehurst — Partner

Angela is currently a series regular on Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. She has worked on Broadway: The Color Purple with Fantasia, Wonderful Town, Bells Are Ringing, Play On! Off Broadway: Radiant Baby, Call The Children Home, City Center’s ENCORES! National Tours: The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, The Wizard of Oz with Eartha Kitt. Regional Theatre: Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, Houston’s Alley Theatre, Chicago’s Marriott Lincolnshire, Baltimore’s Centerstage, Pittsburgh’s Public Theatre, among others. Television:  “Law & Order SVU, and indie film:  “Another Bed”.  

For her work, she has been nominated twice for a Black Theatre Alliance Award (The Color Purple, Dreamgirls), for an Audelco Award (Radiant Baby), and won an Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Award for The Color Purple.

As a singer, Angela has toured with the USO three times: Europe, The Middle East, and The Far East; appeared in nightclubs throughout Northern and Central Florida; sung with The Jenny Burton Experience and is currently a member of Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV).

As a former model, teacher, and agency director at Barbizon and Sessions Modeling Studios, Angela has extensive experience in the training of models. A multiple-pageant winner herself, she has frequently coached and prepped winning pageant contestants.

A Jacksonville Florida native, Angela is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (BA), and The William Esper Studio where she studied with Master Acting Teacher William Esper. She is a proud member of AEA-SAG-AFTRA.
